The Bradford County Humane Society sees many stray cats throughout the year, especially during the summer months. If space is available they also take in cats where the owner cannot take care of them anymore due to various reasons.
One such cat, named Jesse, came into the shelter a few weeks ago. He is a beautiful 7-8 year old neutered, declawed black and white cat who is very vocal. The BCHS staff will sing “Jesse’s Girl” to him and he meows on cue. He is an extra special cat because he has only 3 legs. He was hit by a car awhile back and his front left leg had to be amputated. This certainly doesn’t slow him down. He gets around easily and is looking for a lap to lay on.
“I have a special affinity towards underdogs, or undercats as you might say,” states Jennifer L. Spencer, BCHS Executive Director. “I would love to find him the perfect home,” she adds.
If you are interested in adopting Jesse, please stop down to the animal shelter on Route 220 in Ulster. The adoption fee for Jesse is $50.
