On Saturday, September 17th, Our Place Tavern in Monroeton held a fundraiser to help with the animals at the Bradford County Humane Society. Manager Joy Simons and her daughter Laureli Bayles along with DJ Caleb England helped to organize the event. Music, food, and fun was enjoyed by all that attended.
Participants brought various pet food, cat litter, toys and other items that the animals at the shelter need. $50 was also raised by donors as well as many aluminum cans which will be returned for money and then items will be bought from that.
"We are very thankful to those at Our Place Tavern for thinking of our shelter animals and holding the fundraiser," stated Jennifer L. Spencer, BCHS Executive Director.
