Recently, a 3-4 month old female terrier mix puppy came to the Bradford County Humane Society as a stray. It was in need of immediate vet care with what looked like a broken back leg. The staff named her Mabel.
The team at Milan Veterinary Clinic took x-rays and it was determined the leg was fractured, more than likely from being hit by a car.
Surgery was immediate to save the puppy's leg.
Mabel is in great spirits and is a sweet little dog! She is recovering at Milan Clinic.
The Bradford County Humane Society is asking the community for assistance with her vet bill which is upwards of $1,000. Donations can be sent to BCHS at PO Box 179, Ulster, PA 18850.
Any donation, big or small, would be greatly appreciated. "We take great pride at BCHS to care for all animals that find their way into our shelter. Mabel deserves to have a great life. We thank the team at Milan Veterinary Clinic for their wonderful care,"states Jennifer L. Spencer, BCHS Executive Director.
BCHS is a private non-profit animal shelter that relies on 80% of its funding from community support. BCHS is a United Way Agency.
